At yesterday's Xiaomi conference in Beijing, outside We Watch and Mi CC9 Pro the Chinese giant unveiled a new TV, Mi TV 5 Pro. Three new models will be available for sale, which differ from each other by the diagonal of the screen: 55, 65 or 75 inches everyone has QLED screen!
The biggest visual change is the slimmed housing. Mi TV 5 Pro is thinner than the iPhone 11, its thickness is barely 5,9 mm. The frames around the screen have also been reduced, they only measure 1,8 millimetres. Xiaomi did not use plastic to create the frames, but curved aluminum was used. Thanks to which the TV looks more impressive. On the right edge there is an engraved inscription "Designed by Xiaomi".
However, let's move on to the quality of the displayed image, in this matter Mi TV 5 Pro also took a big step forward. The new TV has a screen with Quantum Dot technology based on nanocrystals. The displayed image is of excellent 4K quality, but Mi TV 5 Pro can also handle 8K signal decoding. Amlogic T972 processor is responsible for the necessary computing power, it is a four-core Cortex-A55 system clocked at 1,9 GHz.
The TV supports HDR10 + and offers 108% coverage of NTSC color space. During the conference, Xiaomi also boasted the MEMC (Motion Estimation Motion Compensation) function, thanks to which the displayed image will be smoother. Mi TV 5 Pro has 4 GB RAM and 64 GB of data space, and some still buy 3 / 32 GB smartphones. The user interface is unfortunately the Chinese Patchwall, which is an overlay on Android TV.
