The Chinese Weibo social network is a place where high-level executives at Xiaomi Group often communicate with fans and have heated discussions.
The most interesting news today is an entry posted by Redmi CEO Lu Weibing:
The entry from the CEO of Redmi is unambiguous and clearly indicates that work on a new Redmi smartphone with 5G support is already underway. The official release date is unknown, it will probably be the beginning of the 2020 year and thus Redmi will refresh its flagship model K20 and present Redmi K30 5G.
Looking back, it will be the cheapest smartphone with 5G support
Recently Xiaomi presented Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro 5G, currently it is the cheapest smartphone with 5G support. The smartphone has been priced in China at 3699 yuan, i.e. PLN 2030. Until now, the Redmi brand offered smartphones at lower prices than Xiaomi, which is why it is very likely that Redmi K30 from 5G will cost below 2000 PLN.
